Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. The parents of her didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry shy and shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began performing at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then caused Perry back to California and theater roles were readily available. She performed on Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. The character she played was the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong relationship with the character's family.
