Pom was born on Quebec, a province in Canada to a Korean mom and French-Russian dad who both worked as consuls to the French government. Her grandfather was artist Eugene Klementieff. Pom, as her parents named her, is the Korean spelling of spring and tigers. Klementieff spent one year in Canada prior to when she and her family began traveling extensively because of the work of her father. Before settling down in France the family travelled to Japan and Ivory Coast.
